Summer and Why I Chose B-W!

Hello again!! :) I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their summer so far. I am so excited for the season to begin and to meet all the new members. We're going to have a great year with an awesome team! I have been staying pretty busy this summer with all sorts of things! I have been helping the PGA Professional, Doug Lemons, of the Ohio Junior Golf Academy out this summer with a number of things. Every Tuesday and Thursday I assist him in coaching the "Little Tee" class (4-6 year olds). It's a ton of fun and the kids really enjoy it! I also have been helping him with the U.S. Kids Tour, which he runs in the Canton area. The tournaments are on the weekends at all different courses in surrounding cities of Canton. The tournaments have grown each week and we are looking forward to the tour Championship in a little less than a month! You can visit www.ohiojuniorgolfacademy.com to learn more about the programs and what I help out with! I have also been caddying for Portage Country Club when I can. That's been a great experience. I've caddied for some very good golfers and been able to network with a lot of people! Babysitting has also been a large part of my summer. I babysit a 3 year old little boy who is so much fun! I've been playing golf whenever I can and have been playing pretty well (thank goodness). I've been getting some lessons here and there and am set for a new driver fitting this week! :) I will also be leaving this week for Atlanta, GA to visit my boyfriend who just recently moved there! I'm very excited! :) So, why did I choose to come to Baldwin-Wallace? Our assistant coach for volleyball in 7th and 8th grade went to B-W and always talked so highly of it. So I always said "that's where I want to go to College" and that thought pretty much followed me through high school. I gained and interest in playing golf and being a cheerleader after high school and as I looked into it, I knew B-W was where I could make that happen. I visited other schools but I knew right as I stepped on campus for the first time that this was where I wanted to be. I'm very happy with my decision to come here and I think the freshman are going to love it just as much as I do! Well, now that I've wrote an entire book, I'm off to bed! Talk to you all soon and have a great rest of your summer!! :)
