Just a Side Note..

Lydia and I just posted at the same time... great minds think alike.

Pink Nailed Golfers.. We're Comin' in HOT!

Hi everyone! :) This past weekend we had our OAC Championship. We all played really hard and we had a great last weekend together. Lydia, our senior captain, received Honorable Mention so high five to that! And Lindsey, our other senior, shot her career low of 90! Woohoo!! :) On Friday, we drove down to River Greens for our practice round which was very useful because we got to test out how to play in the wind for Saturday. After a day of practice, Ali's family had a big cookout for us, which was AWESOME! We are so thankful for everything they do for us!! We had a lot of fun and it was great weather to be outside having some fun! On Saturday we played with Otterbein and Capital and on Sunday we played with Muskingum and Wilmington. At the end of the tournament on Sunday, we stayed for the awards session which our seniors were recognized and Lydia received her awards. I have to say that the best part of the weekend would be our pink nailpolish. I painted everyone's nails bright pink for Sunday and we looked stunning!! :) Overall, we had  a great weekend and really bonded as a team. Thank you so much to Coach who was battling strep throat all weekend for sticking it out for us. We appreciate it so much and wouldn't be able to do it without you! The spring season ended on a good note and we are certainly going to miss our seniors. We have had so much fun over the course of the year and we have all improved our golf game a lot. Next year is right around the corner and we are looking forward to it already! Have a great week!! :)

COMIN IN HOT!!!!

So this past weekend we had OACs. It was by far the best weather we (I) have ever played OACs in. It was so hot!!!! I didn't play very well this weekend, actually I can't lie....I played awful. I'm not sure what my problem was but all I have to say is stuff happens you have an off day. I just hope I never have another one. lol On a better note Linds had her career low (90). It was a great way for her to end the year. She played the rounds so fast we were on hole 12 by the time she was on 18. WOW. Other then this we had a great weekend. It was great to see parents come out for the event. Nicole, linds, ali, and caci all had family come down at some point during the weekend.
It will be sad leaving such a great team. We have really bonded this year and have really come together as a golf team. The new coach has really put some structure into the team which I think we needed. I know that the team will only improve from here...i just wish i had more time to spend.
So over all golf this weekend was great. Coach was sick but he hung in there. We had a great time at Mr. Lees (we ate there) and hanging out in the hotel room. Ali had a great time at PROM :) and we all got our nails painted bright pink for the last day of OACs. I don' t think that really helped me at all...lol. We have the team dinner on Thursday and are going to get shirts that say coming in hot before we leave from summer. :) Ok thats all I got for right now!

Also, I want to thank coach for having a great first year for coaching golf at Baldwin-Wallace!! You have been great and made the season even more enjoyable!! Thanks for all your time, commitment, and understanding.
By the way I forgot to say that my nickname is Alice!!!
So first I want to say I'm on a boat lol!!! Anyways...this weekend was our OAC tournament and it was absolutely gorgeous weather. We were very lucky in that aspect, and it felt good to play in my first college championship. Like coach said we needed to appreciate the chance to get to play in the OAC championship, and I felt honored to play for Baldwin-Wallace.
All I have to say is our team is so awesome!!! We all get along so well, and we have had a great spring season. These girls are my family, and this season was the best experience because we had so much fun while we working on our golf game!!! I want to say thanks to Lydia and Lindsey for being awesome seniors and role models!! I will greatly miss both of you very much!!! Also, congrats to Lydia for making All-OAC Honorable Mentioned. Finally I want to thank all the girls for making my freshman golf season unforgettable.

Coach told me I was allowed to put some of the words on here ;) haha. its all good tho. Not many geese at The Big Met today...just creepy men as usual haha. Tomorrow is picture day. yay. hahah. we're pretty excited about it. lol, not really, but I'm sure the pretty princesses will get all dolled up ;) hahha love you girlsss. lol. I might wear my hair down, ahhahahahah yeah right. won't happen. lol. But anyways, OAC's are this weekend and were all pretty pumped. haha well I am, i hope we do good. actually we're just excited cuz we have a nice hotel, which isnt a murder motel and it has a swimming pool. hahah yessssss. Oh & apparently we also love drama. hahah but who doesnt?

soo we get lost sometimes..

Soo yesterday we decided to go to the driving range to hit golf balls, since it was pretty wet outside and kind of raining. The only problem was that we were going to go to The Oaks driving range instead of Stonebrook where we usually go. Well coach with his amazing sense of directions couldnt find the driving range and instead we drove to Mallard Creek and just hit balls there instead. Which is okay, because apparently they love us out there. hahah.

Today we are going to The Big Met to golf, should be a good time considering there was always a ton of geese to chase around and a ton of poop that they leave behind for us to walk in. hahah, but its mostly fun chasing them.

This weekend, Saturday and Sunday we have a tournament in Wittenberg at Windy Knoll. We love all the huge fake horses that are all over the course. and last time i actually hit one with my ball, true story. hahah, but we also all shot a career low there last time we played there in the fall, so hopefully we will do good and hopefully coach wont put us in a murder motel (a hotel that the doors open to the outside) hahah. It never really bothers me, but the pretty princesses cant handle it and get scared. lol go figure.

My Spring Break Experience!

Seeing as a few days of blogging have been skipped, I am going to write about my Spring Break experience (in a nutshell). :) First of all, we left cold, rainy and snowy Ohio and arrived in Tampa, Florida. From there we drove to Homosassa Springs (Crystal River area) where we stayed in a condo for a few nights. None of us had been there before so it was definitely a new experience! haha! We had a free day the first day and we just layed out in the 80 degree weather (which we all miss!!) and got some rafts! The rafts were a fantastic purchase. :) The next few days we just hung around in the mornings and had some fun then played golf in the afternoon. We played at Southern Woods where we got some great lessons from the pro there, Rick Kelso. He was awesome!! The first day we played some golf then the next day we got lessons, which helped us all a lot! :) We went out to a few team dinners.. one of which we ate GATOR TAIL (well, I didn't.. but almost everyone else did! yuck!!!). After leaving Homosassa, we traveled up to the Tampa area to play St. Leo! The course was beautiful and it was actually a PGA qualifiers course- awesome, huh!? The girls from St. Leo were great and we had a lot of fun playing with them. After playing in our tournament, we had team dinner and then drove back to Tampa. We stayed there until we left on Friday morning for home, where the weather was quite a difference compared to what we were just in for a week!! Overall, our trip to Florida was really good- we all had a blast and the team bonded really well! :) I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter tomorrow and enjoys some time with their families! Adios! PS- Pretty, Pretty Princesses STILL rule and Mighty Ducks STILL drool! :)

More Pictures and Stufffffff

So today me & Ali went to the driving range to hit balls, and we are pretty sure there was a Brown's player hitting balls next to us. But we are unsure, but we think it could of been Jamal Lewis, or we might of made that up. haha true story :)

But here's some more pictures from Spring Break :)

It's Winter Again!

Hello, everyone! The snow has graced us with its presence, yet again. Aren't you thrilled? :) We probably won't have practice the rest of the week due to the weather. After we get back on Tuesday from Easter, we will be back in action with practicing and preparing for the Wittenberg tournament. That's where the majority of the team shot career lows ending our fall season! So, hopefullyyy we will see the same results (as Lydia mentioned). We only have one more tournament until OACs (dun dun dun!) so these next few weeks are really important. The team is really coming together and with a few more weeks of solid practice, we'll be GOLDEN.. haha (not that we aren't already)! Have a fun Easter and eat lots of candy! PS- I can drink pop again since Lent will be over on Sunday!! :) (But I actually should extend it by a day since I ACCIDENTLY took a swig of Sprite in the van on Spring Break after playing St. Leo hahaha). See ya later!
PSS- Pretty Pretty Princesses RULE!!!! and Mighty Ducks DROOL!!

Monday, April 6, 2009

We played at foxfire/players club this past weekend. What a time that was!!!. On Friday it was at least a three club wind and very wet and cold :( but we played through it and Saturday was beautiful. Once again it's Ohio and guess what....it's snowing. As a result of this crappy weather we didn't have practice today. Well I can't wait for this snow to go away for a long time. This next week and a half we will be getting ready for Wittenburg and hopefully will have another career low for everyone on the team. -Lydia-

Capital Tourny

Sooo friday at the capital tournament, I would have to say that it was a bit cold, wet & windy. hahah okay so maybe it was alot! hahah it was so windy that the flags were blowing out of the holes and pratice swings were blowing mud & water into your face. hahah. but it was okay, we made it through. and Saturday the weather was alot nicer and i think everyone enjoyed them selves alot more the second day.

Oh && the mighty ducks got the pretty princesses back for bragging about their win in the putting contest, we gave them a 4am wake up call at the hotel, which scared them, go figure :) lol. hahah.

Thursday, April 2, 2009

OK....So I think that the pretty princesses need to get over the fact that they won. Remember that in the fall Mighty Ducks won.....by a lot!!! Just saying.(We all did a very good job...it was great practice.)

Some Pictures

Oh, we also visited Clear Water Beach, one day while we were down there, it was pretty cool, better than the first "beach" we stopped at.
Our pool @ the hotel, where we laid out everyday :) Oh, we had rafts too haha

Southern Woods in Florida.

The Team @ Southern Woods in Florida.

Hi everyone!!! Today it was a beautiful day for golfing!!! Like Caci said we practiced on our short game, but mostly putting. At the end of practicing we decided we all wanted to have a contest, so it was the Pretty Princesses against the Mighty Ducks!!! The Pretty Princess group consists of Nicole, Caci, and Ali. The Mighty Ducks are Lydia, Lindsey and Coach. Anyways it was pretty close until the very end and the Pretty Princesses won!! Good job girls!! So now to the good stuff, tomorrow is our second spring tournament. Our tournament is two days Friday and Saturday. It should be lots of fun because we are staying all night!!! I hope it is good weather!!! I am excited!
First of all the pretty princesses only won because we had coach on our team :) hahahaha. Sooo wednesday we played at big met where we had to fight the many geese off of the course. It's actually entertaining hahaha. We like to chase them away, but yesterday they kept coming back and fighting with each other. hahah.

And because coach told me to write about of Spring Break Trip i will :) We went to Florida and stayed in the Crystal Rivers area, we did alot of fun things besides golfing. Me & Lydia went kyvacking with the manatees, it was pretty sweet, even though they are huge, we also layed out in the sun everyday we were there :) But the best part of the trip by far as Rick Kelso ;) haha. He was the pro that helped us out on our games while we were down there, we also played a match against St. Leo, they were pretty cool, so it was fun.

Today we tryed to played at mastik woods and the little bit but they were packed for some reason, but we had a fun time watching some of the people tee off, while we waited to tee off. But the wait was too long and we just went to The Big Met to practice putting in chipping. Where, the pretty princesses (Nicole, Caci & Ali) beat the Mighty Ducks (Lydia & Me, oh and coach) haha we are blaming the loss in the putting contest on coach, even though he did sink one in the end. hahaha.

Tommorrow & Saturday we play at Capital and spend the night, should be a good time, plus it should be a good time for us to bond even more & continue to make a million inside jokes :)

--Lindsey

PRETTY PRINCESSES WIN!!

Today at practice we had a putting contest and we won.... YAYYYYYY!!
